We have been so busy renovating the townhouse that we have been asking family and close friends to watch the kids while we work. Auntie Karen graciously offered to take Isabella shopping (well, swimming but Issey preferred shopping). This is the first time we have sent Isabella out with friends! Issey had a BLAST. Thanks Auntie Karen!

Isabella: Mommy, why do we have to go home now? I don't want to go home yet.

Mommy: Because it is late and getting dark outside.

Isabella: Oh, and the dinosaurs will come out to get us?

Mommy: (thinking I need to explain to Issey about dinosaurs) Well Isabella, let me tell you something about dinosaurs. They are extinct... They once roamed the earth millions of years ago but due to the glaciers, they all died and are now extinct.

Isabella: (paused... you could hear her thinking in her head) They are stinky and dirty?

Mommy: No, they are extinct... That means they are no longer around.

Isabella: Oh, that is silly mommy.
