Pretty in Pink

Princess Isabella picked out her little pink dress that she will be wearing to her birthday party. It is a little cotton dress from Tommy Hillfiger.

Issey is great both in front of and behind the camera. She loves to be photographed and enjoys taking pictures of her baby brother.

The Guest List

Isabella is turning THREE in a week! She is growing up so fast that we had the following amazing conversation on the car ride home:

Mommy - Isabella, do you know that your birthday is coming soon?
Isabella - Yes and Ian and Megan and Alec birthday coming up. But not Luke. He had it already.
Mommy - That is correct. Isabella, would you like to have a birthday party this year?
Isabella - Yeah! Yeah! Yeah!
Mommy - Well who would you like to invite to your party?
Isabella - Morgan and Ry Ry cause they my friend. And Simone and Logan and uh Baari.
Mommy - Who else?
Isabella - Uhm, Ethan and Aiyana. Mattias too.
Mommy - What about Jon Jon?
Isabella - Yes, I like Jon Jon.
Mommy - How about your cousins?
Isabella - Oh yeah, Megan, Alec, Ian and Luke too. Mommy, can they come too please? And baby Gabriel too!
Mommy - Yes sure sweetie.
Isabella - Yeah we can do it!

Mommy - And how about your friends Jayden and Sofia?

Isabella - Okay we can ask them too.

And so the party planning begins. I can't believe I am making the guest list with mommy's little Isabella.

Beautiful Little Girl

Isabella's smile always makes my heart melt. She brightens my gloomy day with her laughter and smile. Here are some recent photos of our little princess posing with Gabriel's Baptism Cake and with fresh Pho noodles at Grandma's house.

Welcome Gabriel Mark Aleong!

Gabriel Mark Aleong arrive at 2 o'clock in the afternoon on January 29th, 2010. Our little angel went without a name for days... all the nurses were calling him "chunghito" which is little monkey in spanish. We were thinking Nathaniel, Seth, Gabriel, Christopher... but as days passed, we realised that he was truly our little angel so we decided to name him Gabriel.

Gabriel's God Mother Bernadette was there in the recovery room to meet her brand new God Son.

We were discharged from the hospital in good health after four days. The nurses at Women's Hospital were so pleasant and wonderful. We had a great experience!

Big sister Isabella immediately fell in love with her new "baby broder". She is a caring and loving big sister who showers Gabriel with hugs and kisses.

As usual, Grandma gave the first official bath and grandpa fed the baby .

Uncle Paul and all three cousins Luke, Ian and Alec came over for a visit. As did Auntie Lisa and cousin Megan.
The job of a big sister is not always easy, but I think Isabella has excelled. She plays with him and even shares her dolls and toys with him. Gabriel looks identical to Isabella as a newborn. They have similar mannerisms and facial expressions.

On the eleventh day, Gabriel went through a circumcision and recovered a few days later (sorry no photos here).

The Vancouver 2010 Olympics soon arrived and Isabella and Daddy enjoyed the festivities.
