Isabella's 4th Birthday in Two Weeks
Dear Isabella,
It feels like just yesterday that Mommy and Daddy brought you home from the hospital. It was a rainy april evening and your Grandma carried you into our home. You were so tiny and precious. We felt so blessed to have a healthy, beautiful little baby girl.
In two weeks, you will turn four years old. You are such an intelligent little girl. You are able to write the letters of the alphabet, understand months and days in a year, identify birthdays of family members, and count to ten in THREE different languages (English, French and Spanish). You have taken gymnastics classes (they let you join the 3 - 5 years when you were just two years old), skating lessons (you fell many times in the beginning but you quickly learned how to skate and became the BEST student in the class), ballet classes (you also perform beautifully and listen very well in the class), and swimming lessons (obviously you were the best in the class because you started swimming when you were only four months old). You know how to play all of Mommy's iPod touch games even better than Mommy.
You love reading books before bed and Mommy always tells you a bedtime story (usually the four little bears). You love it when Mommy scratches your back to help you fall asleep. You enjoy arts and crafts and Mommy will hang all your art work on the walls in my office. You love snuggle time and ask for it frequently. Because Mommy is busy with baby Gabriel, our snuggle time is usually cut short.
You love to sing. You can sing two songs in Vietnamese, a few songs in French and a couple in Spanish. You enjoy listening to "Daddy's Music" and love the beach and carnival in Trinidad.
Your favorite colours are pink and purple. You love playing with dolls and ponies. You have asked for a doll highchair for your birthday. I have given this message to your godmother. Your favorite shows are Ni Hao Kai Lan, Max and Ruby, Tom and Jerry and Dora the Explorer.
When we talked to you about your guest list, you knew exactly who you wanted to invite. Daddy called home from work to ask you about the guest list and all I can hear is, "yes, I want her to come" and "Daddy don't forget RyRy okay?" You are extremely social so the list was long. Even friends from your old school are going to attend your party!
You have grown to become such a beautiful and bright little girl. From the most recent set of Trinidad pictures, I think you are starting to look more and more like Mommy.
You are opinionated and determined in all your endeavours. You make Mommy and Daddy very proud each and every day.
Happy FOURTH Birthday princess Isabella!
Love,
Mommy
